I’ve always wanted to design anything and everything I can think of. You inspired me to be an interior designer. I love everything you do I love every room I’ve seen from you. I think you are so awsome. I’m happy doing what I do and you inspired me to do it.

Hey all Kenneth Brown Fans—If you have not signed up for the fan club yet, you should take a moment to join.  There have been several occasions when Kenneth will give me the “scoop” on important items, events, publications, projects, etc. that he is involved with that are not always published on his website (or at least we get to hear it first).  I will then share the information with the fan club members via an e-mail.  So don’t be left out—join the Kenneth Brown Fan Club!

Kenneth, thanks again for coming to Madison, WI for Ithmus Green Day April 26, 2008. It was a treat to see your presentation, and have you talk about what “green design” can really mean. It opened up my perspective on utilizing what we currently have in our homes. It also made me think about bamboo in a different light...It was also great to meet with you (I showed you the pictures of the bathroom with the “bare trees” wallpaper...) You can see that you really enjoy what you’re doing! Cheers! Thanks again. Marian

    Question:
In Western Interiors and Designs (Apr/May 2007), you were listed in their annual “The List” section and had a small photo ad included. I love the bedroom you have featured in the picture and wanted to know if you could tell me the paint color you used (it’s a blueish color against black furniture and it looked fabulous!). Thanks!

    Answer:
The color is from Sherwin Williams #7621 Silvermist.  Keep in mind that color processing with print magazines can skew the color so I suggest you do a paint sample first.

    Question:
Kenneth, I have a newly constructed home and we have a bonus room upstairs that we want to turn into a lounge like sitting room but we also need to keep the space as a bedroom for guests.  What ideas on furniture do you have that could go from sitting to sleeping keeping in the lounge like setting?  Also I think a nice gray with color accents would set the room off.  Right now the room is a standard white which I would like to keep for the ceiling maybe.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    Answer:
Your best bet is to go with the standard sleeper sofa.  The key when
shopping for sleeper sofas is looking at where the metal support hits the
mattress.  Better sleepers will have the bar under the pillow area and down
by the foot of the mattress.  Avoid sleepers that have the metal bar across
the midsection of the mattress.  If you have smaller guest, you can use
something similar to the ottoman that folds out into a small bed.

If none of these work, look for sofas that are at least 42” deep and
7 feet wide.  This size is a great size for sleeping on.

For a dramatic grey - look at Pavestone from Sherwin Williams 7642.

I’d suggest you pop in greens and yellows as accent colors.
