Kenneth! You are one of the most talented people I have ever seen, every time I see a room that was designed by you immediately I know without anyone telling me I love you and your work soooooooooo much....... I have one question to ask tell me what other colors I can mix in my open floor plan? I have chocolate walls in the living room with blue in the dining room and orange in the kitchen and the sunroom what are the new colors right now? I used neutral color furniture.
The hot colors now are neutrals based in greys like Sherwin Wiliams Analytical Gray and Amazing Gray. One reason for this is that there is a huge trend to bring in very BOLD and bright colors in accessories like pillows, rugs, throws and artwork. These colors are Greens, Blues, and Orange - which you already have!

You are my favorite designer in the world. I love seeing you on Re-Design on HGTV. My friend said you were now on TLC. I absolutely adore all the rooms I just looked at on MSN. I am an earthtone kind of girl and have changed my house to a more transitional look because of you.
Thanks Gale - and coming in January you will see me on QVC selling my new bedding collection!

Hi Kenneth, I was wondering when did you know you wanted to become an Interior Designer? And, what advice would you give to a prospective Interior Design student? Thanks & Keep up the great work!
Looking back, I always had it in me to do interior design. My biggest hurdle was changing my path from medical school to design school. I was so afraid that Interior Design was just a hobby and not a career choice. Once I let that go, I realized that interior designers can have the same healing impact as most doctors. My advice to students, don’t loose focus and don’t compare yourself to your peers. Everyone has a different look and it’s easy to beat yourself up over your own work. For my senior project in design school, a lot of people laughed at the design for a daycare center we had to design because they said it looked like a night club. The great thing is that specific project is what got the attention of the firm that hired me out of college. Be different and don’t be afraid. Stay true and focused!
