Donna from NY says:
Dear Kenneth, I have a very large living room wall that I am thinking of putting some wall art on. My question is this. If I decide to put 3 large paintings, how far apart should they be? Thank You, Donna
Answer:
The answer to that questions will vary, according to the size of the pieces. But as a general rule, one hand width is a good amount of space between paintings.

Hello Kenneth,
On your portfolio rooms tab. There is a picture 1113. Where did the sofa come from? Are you able to state who’s the designer? I must have that sofa for my livingroom. Please advise. Also my brother and I love your designs. We wish we could be inside your head to get your ideas.
Answer:
It’s available through Holly Hunt showrooms, from the Christian Liaigre collection. They are to the trade only, but most showrooms have designer services which can help you with your purchase. www.hollyhunt.com

Francine M. from Ashburn, VA says:
Dear Kenneth, I have a very sloped ceiling in my bedroom which the builder refered to as “cathedral”. It is a decent size room and has a wide double door opening in the middle of the room on the left that opens to the master bath. My bed is situated on the opposite wall and faces the bathroom. As you enter the room from the hallway it is 12+ feet high and at the opposite end it not only squats down to 7 feet but narrows (room is kind of pie shaped) and there is a double window on that wall. The bed looks best on the wall facing the bathroom and I have two questions: 1) what kind of bed frame would look best? ie: four poster, high padded headboard, etc.) 2) How would you break the wall up behind the bed? I also want to dramatize the height at the one end and need some suggestions! Oops, I guess that’s three questions! You are genious, thank you!
Answer:
I suggest you use an upholstered headboard. With this much wall and ceiling space, you need to add a soft texture to the room, so look for suede or velvet headboards. If you can customize it, go taller than usual. To add drama to the other side of the room, look for large artwork and consider buying 4 pieces that can be hung together to look like one big piece. This is your chance to add some color to the room.
